CHRISPINE.ORG

The domain name CHRISPINE.ORG was registered on Fri May 30, 2008. Exactly three weeks later, CHRISPINE.ORG would emerge as a web presence on the first day of Summer - Fri June 20, 2008. The opening of this fan site is a bit premature, but I wanted to get the site up and running with an active fan base ready to help newcomers for when Mr. Pine finally gets the attention he deserves. I say it's a bit early, because there aren't any featured magazine spreads thus we're off to a slow start. Even on Google, finding news articles on Chris Pine is like searching for a needle in a Haystack so we'll start off slowly with old news articles, some screen captures from his past films and paparazzi photos to build off of.

The technology behind the site is Joomla for the Content Management System.  The template is JA Purity courtesy of Joomlarts.  Even though I knew nothing about Joomla, I figured I may as well start learning it now and best of all it was free and open source. For the forum, I was pondering between vBulletin or Invision but settled on a PHPBB board mainly because (are you seeing a trend here) it was free but also because it had many of the same features as the forums that require licensed software.
