Star Trek tops $250 million Amid Transformers Onslaught

Transformers Movie Poster(CHRISPINE.ORG) - The box office is exploding this summer with Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen reaching the $300 million mark domestically in just 14 days leapfrogging over UP to be the year's number #1 film.

In the midst of the popcorn and long lines, Star Trek reached another milestone topping the $250 million mark as it slowly winds down in theaters. Studio excecutives and fans alike were looking forward to this kind of success in hopes of justifying another Star Trek film the series. As of yet, Paramount has been hush on any confirmations of a sequel.
