On Monday, Fox Studios announced the delay of "X-Men Origins: Wolverine" in Mexico after any form of public gathering was canceled to prevent further spread of the Swine Flu epidemic.
Mexico is consistently among the top grossing territories and was among the top 10 list for "Da Vinci Code," at $19.3 million therefore the cancellations may affect final numbers after opening weekend. The major studios are delaying releases throughout Mexico for 2 weeks at the very least. Currently, there are no plans to delay premieres in other territories although studios are monitoring the situation.
