chris pine zach quinto saturday night live snl(CHRISPINE.ORG) - The final numbers are in and Paramount announced an upward revision in the final box office talley for Star Trek from $76.2 million to $79.2 million, including Thursday.

Usually, the actual weekend numbers for movies are slightly less than projected but Star Trek came in much higher assisted by rave reviews and word of mouth.  Industry analysts grossly underestimated Sunday ticket sales boosted on Mother's Day by the legions of trekkers still living in their parent's basements.

Final Breakdown:
Thursday - $4 million
Friday - $26,893,975
Saturday - $27,248,613 (+1.3%)
Sunday - $21,061,701 (-22.7%)
