(CHRISPINE.ORG) - It was bound to happen. The first lighting bolt of fame has struck in dramatic fashion for Chris Pine. The serious gaze of Zachary Quinto is only complimented by the charming smile of Chris Pine as they grace the cover of Entertainment Weekly (EW) magazine. This reboot by director J.J. Abrams hopes to appeal to a new generation of Trek fans (aka Trekkies). The magazine has preview shots of the whole Star Trek gang who wear solid tops over black undershirts and pants. Captain Kirk's (Chris Pine) outfit is solid black while Spock (Zachary Quinto) wears a solid blue top. Chris Pine jokes,
''It was very hard to take myself seriously,'' says Pine, 28, with a laugh. ''I'm six-foot, I weigh about a buck sixty-five, went to private school, and grew up in the [San Fernando] Valley — I wouldn't follow me into battle.''
